3 Simple Steps to Calculate Your Time in MIQ

If you’re a Kiwi or expat relocating to New Zealand, our unique COVID Managed Isolation System (MIQ) is something you’ll need to understand.

Obtaining a booking is the first step. Then, we’re often asked by our clients how to count the days in MIQ. That exit date is certainly something to look forward to! And a practical issue if you’re booking accommodation to move into.

Here's how to make the calculation:

Step 1

Start from time and date your flight arrives in NZ

Step 2

From there, count the number of 24 hour periods (days) you’re required to be in MIQ

Step 3

That's when you'll be able to leave - subject to a negative COVID test of course!

For example

If you arrive on 1 February you exit on 11 February.
