Gwen Sturgeon
Resettlement Advisor | Wellington

Gwen’s personal experience relocating to New York is a key motivator for her in assisting newcomers to Wellington.  With three children under five, the move to the US for her husband’s job was a huge upheaval.

Now back in Wellington for eight years, Gwen is fully immersed in the local community.  She is active in her children’s’ schools and recently worked on the campaign for one of the candidates in Wellington’s mayoral election.  With a background in nursing and service coordination roles in the health sector, Gwen’s strong organisation skills are a huge asset when dealing with all the details of relocating and getting established in a new country

“Looking back at our arrival in New York, I now realise how much of our family’s resettlement my husband had to organise himself and how much pressure it must have put on him.  It’s great to be working with Mobile to fully support newcomers to Wellington so that they can get the most out of the experience of being here.”
